Every part of Falcon 1300 Dual Fuel Range Cooker has special features that need a mention. The gas range cooker has been divided into 5 parts. There is the hot plate, followed by the rollout grill, the left hand and right hand oven, then of course quite thoughtfully designed storage space to add to the utility value of this kitchen product. A more detailed look into the range cooker will illustrate the reason why this appliance has effortlessly found place in one’s hearth and heart.

The hotplate:

This is found in the top most compartment of the cooking range. It has automatic ignition feature which makes it simple and easy to use as there is no need to search for a lighter. The hotplate has 5 hobs in total. With more number of cooking knobs one can speed up the process of cooking or enable a multi task process effortlessly. The entire hotplate is Stainless steel making it easier on cleaning and maintenance. The burner base is of aluminium and the head is coated with enamel. Just a wipe with CIF or any cleaning agent will do the magic of having a squeaky clean hotplate. There is an enamel coated cast iron pan support. This matt finish stand sufficiently supports the various sizes of pots and pans and is definitely a heavy duty one. The cooking range uses gas as the fuel. The 3 hobs of 3 kilowatts can handle most of the regular cooking. For very heavy duty cooking there is a hob empowered with 5 kilowatts.

This is ideal when using large and thick pots and pans too. And for simple reheating one can make use of the 1.7 kilowatt hob. A stainless steel wok ring is provided along with the hot plate to enable safe and convenient cooking with wok so that steaming; braising, stir frying or deep frying can be effortless done. The hotplate is equipped with flame safety device which has now become compulsory in most countries. This enables the gas stove to automatically switch off when it senses that the burners are not functioning.

The roll out grill:

This is quite unique to this cooking range. The grill is powered with 2.3 kilowatt. This is very useful for browning food.  The grill has two heating elements. They can be either operated together or just one side according to the heating requirements. There is a neon indicator that shows the grill is in operation. With four standing adjustments, the grill can be placed ideally for individual dish settings.

The left hand oven:

This is an oven which is specially designed to act as a multi functional one too. There are two heating elements on the top and bottom of the oven along with the oven fan and fan element. It is electrically powered with 2.5 kilowatts. The oven has a capacity of 62 litres. This is very generous and enables large size cooking. The oven has 380 millimetres in depth and height and 429 in width. It has a temperature setting knob and a function selector to assist in choosing the cooking process and the temperature needed. An indicator will glow till the temperature needed is set. After which the light will blink as long as the oven functions. The energy rating for this oven is B. The Multi-functional feature found in the left hand oven comes with defrosting, fanned grill and fan oven functions.

The right hand oven:

This is an oven with the fan only. It is electrically powered with 2.5 kilowatts. The feature of a fan oven is to circulate hot air continuously. This enables faster cooking at a lower temperature. This is very beneficial for cooking large amounts of food and can use several shelves at a time too. The temperature normally set in this oven is always 10 degrees less than the normal level. This oven can hold a capacity of 67 litres in all. This is ideally suited for a very large family. The dimensions of the oven are 380 millimetres in height, 429 and 409 in width and depth. This is ideal for use especially for beginners till they get a hang of it. The oven has a rating of A in the energy level.

Other Features:

Browning element – To turn out dishes that are crisp and golden brown this grilling function is very useful. The dishes that can be kept inside should be of the size 340 millimetres by 340 millimetres.

Base heat – This is yet another helpful addition to the feature. Whether it is to turn the pizza base crisper or for a nice golden quiche this heating element found only at the bottom will make it sizzle.  Slow cooking of the casserole too is possible with only the bottom element working.

Fan assisted oven – With the top and bottom heating element and a fan for assistance enables the oven to do some very intensive cooking which is pretty fast. The trays would have to be swapped without fail as the bottom tray would get more heat than the top one.

Heavy duty oven shelves – There are 4 standard oven shelves and it is possible to adjust one shelf which is the drop system. They are very tough and durable and easy to clean too.

Catalytic liners – Falcon 1300 Freestanding Range Cooker has these liners which actually absorb the grease and dirt. At 200 degree Celsius this grimy dirt is burnt off. This feature enables a very low maintenance and cleaning time.

Storage draw – There is a compartment to store the accessories of the cooking range at the bottom of the appliance. This is very thoughtfully designed to keep the oven trays and cooking utensils together in one place.

Accessories – Front plinth with five shelves which include a deep shelf are provided along with the oven. The wok ring comes as an accessory too.

Guarantee – The Falcon gas range comes with a generous three years of guarantee on their product so that one is at peace for a long period of time.

So in general one can conclude that Falcon has used its expertise in professional cooking while designing this product. Though features like a see through door or buzzer are not featured in Falcon 1300 Black, Cream Colour Range Cooker, they have covered all the aspects of cooking varied dishes.
