The Basics:
Beko DVG593 Freestanding Range Cooker comes in two colours. For those who like to have a kitchen of elegance and class there is pristine white (DVG593W) to choose from. With the stainless steel(DVG59S) finish option one can create a kitchen that is stylish and professional to look at. This promises trouble free maintenance too. When unpacked the unit stands tall at a height of 90 cms and depth of 70 cms and it easily fits into the 50 cms width making it apt for any kitchen cabinet plan. The net weight of the product is about 49 kilograms making it very sturdy on the ground. With adjustable feet it further enables the unit to stand firmly on the horizontal surface. The Hob:
The Beko DVG593 Double Oven Range Cooker has 4 burner gas hobs of three different sizes. There is a single burner of 18cms, 2 of 20 cms and one large burner of 22 cms. Either natural gas or LP gas is used to ignite this hob. It comes with auto ignition. These knobs come with safety feature in them as the gas valves are lockable.
The Top Cavity:
This top compartment can be converted as a grill or can be used as a conventional oven too. The grill has a power capacity of 2 KW which is very adequate for a family spread. The grill pan with rack and handle are the accessories that come along with it. If used as an oven, it has a capacity of 16 litres. The power of the oven too is 2KW. There is one shelf in the top cavity that helps cooking in two batches if need be. There is no internal light in the top cavity. But then the oven door is a see through one as it is made of glass. This enables the user to have an idea on the progress of the cooking process. The entire interiors are painted with easy clean enamel. This is off a great help as it enables easy cleaning and maintenance.
The Main Cavity:
With a capacity of 41 litres, the main cavity is a conventional oven with a power of 2.5kW. This is a very generous size oven and would suit all the family needs. There is no storage compartment in the oven but it comes with two shelves that add flexibility while cooking. The door like in the top cavity is made of glass and is see through. This enables the user to know what is happening inside the oven. And in addition to it, there is an internal light that illuminate the interior while the cooking process in going on. The light switch is found in the control panel which can be switched on and off according to one’s convenience. The interiors here are coated with easy clean enamel paint which notably helps in keeping the oven clean and bacteria free. The glass door is removable which further assists in the cleaning of the oven.
Other features:
- The main oven and the top oven with grill are thermostatically controlled. This thermostat is found in the control panel. Range of 1 to 7 is found in the gas mark level. Various foods have different gas mark level which can be used accordingly.
- The door opens vertically from top to bottom. The door remains a little tilted to avoid any spillage while opening the door.
- All the ignition knobs are auto ignite and have lockable gas valves in them. The Flame Safety Device helps to automatically cut off the gas supply when it detects that the flame is extinguished. This is a safety feature that is fast becoming a necessity and a very useful one nevertheless.
