Physical Characteristics:

With the stainless steel housing and the large sized dimension of 950 x 1220 x 700 mm relating to the height, width and the depth of the range cooker comes as the freestanding installation type. Baumatic BCC2220SS Stainless Steel Range Cooker captures the hearts of many for the use of the large sized family with its 7 burners, 2 oven cavities and a storage compartment. The doors of Baumatic BCC2220SS Twin Cavity Dual Fuel Range Cooker comes with the triple glazed glass and they are of drop down type.

Capacity and Power:

The hob consists of seven burners with the different size and power. It has two 4.30 KW hyper gas burners, two 3.00 KW rapid burners, a single 1.95 KW fry top zone of 120mm, a single 1.75 KW semi rapid burners and another single 1.00 KW auxiliary burner. The hob functions with the power of gas. With respect to the oven, the main oven comes with the 73 litres capacity and the secondary oven with 34 litres capacity. It does consist of a storage compartment that has the capacity of 52 litres.

Control panel:

Making it easy for the operation is the well-planned control panel that takes place in the front top of the range in a stretch. It consists of the selector knobs and the indicators along with the push buttons. At the left corner is the button for the main oven rotisserie on/off selection. The next four knobs are for the hob controls. Next is the main oven functional knob followed by two indicators for the power and operation indicator. Oven programmer or the timer buttons, the separate indicator neon lights are also made available. With the clear instructions printed on the fascia makes it easy for the user to choose the desired operations.

Cooking functions:

There are eight cooking functions in the main oven and five functions in the secondary oven. The brief description of the same is as follows.

  • Fan and lower element – It uses the bottom element and circulates the heat suitable for sterilising and preserving the jars.
  • Fan and grill – This method uses the top element in combination with the fan, it suits best for the steaks and vegetables.
  • Full grill – Ideal for grilling fish, bacon, steaks it uses the inner and the outer part of the top element.
  • Half grill – Suitable for using it for small portion of bacon, meat using the inner part of the top element.
  • Fan oven – This helps to distribute the heat resulting in faster and economical cooking. However, it does not transfer the aroma and taste from one dish to the other.
  • Conventional oven – In this function it uses both the top and the lower element, suits best for roasting and baking on one shelf only.
  • Defrost mode – This works on the reduced heat for defrosting the frozen foods. It is required to check the food packaging for the instructions.

Miscellaneous:

Both the oven comes with the interior light, it illuminates even when not functioning but the door being opened. All the burners come with the automatic electric ignition, while in case of the power failure the burners can be lit with the matchstick. The hob comes with the cast iron pan stand that is also easy to clean and maintain. The telescopic runners allow pulling oven trays smoothly and safely. The energy efficiency is grade ‘B’ for both the oven functions.
